At Traditional Tea, tea is more than just a drink—it’s a way of life, a story of discovery, and a bridge between cultures.
We, Katrina and Daniel, began our journey with tea in the most unexpected yet meaningful way. During a business trip to Hong Kong, we not only discovered the depth and beauty of tea culture—we also discovered each other. What began with a shared cup of tea turned into both a lifelong love story and the beginning of our mission: to bring the true essence of whole-leaf tea to Europe.
Unlike most tea shops in Europe, we do not rely on bulk wholesalers or anonymous import routes. Every year, we travel to Asia—especially to China—to meet directly with tea farmers. We sit with them in their tea gardens, taste their harvests at the source, and build friendships rooted in trust, respect, and shared passion. Each tea in our collection has a story, a face, and a place behind it. When you drink our teas, you’re not just enjoying a product—you’re tasting the care of a farmer, the character of a landscape, and the tradition of centuries.
Above all, we honor the leaf. Each one speaks of the farmers, workers, and tea masters who gave their love, craftsmanship, and dedication to it. A single leaf carries their history, their skill, and their respect for nature. For us, tea is not just the most consumed beverage in the world—it is also a window into others, a way to experience connection across cultures and continents.
Our vision is simple: to bring the authentic gong fu tea experience to Europe. This is not dust in a bag or broken leaves hidden in paper. This is real, carefully crafted, whole-leaf tea—brewed in a way that reveals layer after layer of aroma, flavor, and feeling. It’s an invitation to slow down, connect, and experience tea as it has been cherished in Asia for generations.
